Hello All! Please be patient as we work through the next days of learning! Until Distance learning is over, i will be using the "learning from home" page for a daily schedule, announcements, and my blog! See you there!
I hope you all had a great weekend! I did a lot of holiday painting and bought some new markers for rocks! We aren't a hunting family! lol
This week we start our second reading unit! Hard to believe we've been in school this long already! That's a good thing! we are working on a LOt of projects the next few weeks! the students started their "tree" for the magic tree house, and we will be doing thanksgiving on thursday to meet a social studies standard. Its a fun unit! i'm beginning to work more on maps, and will throughout the month. our math unit 2 was just completed. unit three is very important....time, money, and place value! Always a big deal at this age! Mrs. Schultz will be sending out a sign up for virtual conferences tomorrow. Please have a plan to visit with me. I always love chatting about your student! we have speak up this friday. Have a great week! More later! I apologize! Life has been a little busy, and I haven't sent out a blog for a few days! I have the calendar and will get the lunch menu in.
Next Monday, the 9th, there is no school for students. Staff has a professional development day. we've been working with a good mixture of "paper" activities and "online" activities lately, and I am really feeling confident about students knowledge of some of the pieces in their reading and math technology! It's been a great challenge for me as well! almost half of the group has reached their AR goal!d Yippee! I allow them to read "whatever color they want" after they meet their goal. Usually they understand its best to read books they can be successful in! Thank goodness for warmer days! Today we get an extra recess due to some staffing issues last week. The boys and girls are excited, as well as their teacher! ; ) Thank you for the paper towel holders....we have enough to start making treehouses! Tomorrow we will have a student teacher coming in to join us for 15 hours of field experience in the area of social studies. We will be working on maps, as well as learning about Thanksgiving through a read aloud book called Thanksgiving on Thursday! More later! Have a great day! |
